Morley College: Seasonal Natural Dye and Print

Items used and made by students on the Seasonal Natural Dye and Print course run by Zoe Burt and the Textiles department at nearby Morley College are on display.

Dye plant seed packets and dried plant material used for natural dyeing are shown alongside examples of fabric prepared for eco printing on wooden dowelling and for solar dyeing in Kilner jars.

Colour tests are displayed in book form next to fabric and yarn samples. There are also examples of weaving and of jewellery made from naturally dyed yarns. Students on the natural dye and print courses work in a range of disciplines including screen printing, paper making, knit, millinery, fashion, jewellery and book binding.
