In the Wainwright Prize-longlisted Rootbound, Rewilding A Life, author and gardener Alice Vincent charts her recovery from heartbreak and separation through gardening as a young woman without a garden. Alongside this, she asks: why have millennials found solace in plants, and where do we sit alongside those generations before us who have turned to the earth in turbulent times? Speaking in conversation with Jane Perrone, host of On The Ledge podcast and gardening columnist for The Financial Times, Alice will explore the oft-mocked and misunderstood millennial fascination with houseplants and nurturing – and what we can learn from it.
