Garden Museum Entry

Our historic nave space and garden can be accessed free of charge, and there is no need to book. Entry to the permanent collections, temporary exhibitions and Medieval tower require admission, which can either be booked in advance online or at the front desk on the day of your visit.

From 30 September – 22 October admissions are available as walk-in only. We do not require online bookings for this period as we prepare to open our next exhibition.

Upcoming amended opening hours:

On 19 October the museum will close at 3pm.
On 23 October the museum will open from 11am – 5pm.
On 27 November the museum will close at 4:30pm.
On 1 March 2025 the museum will close at 3pm.

Please check the café page for the cafe’s amended opening hours as they may differ from the museum.

If you are having any issues with our booking system below, please feel free to purchase admission at the Museum on the day of your visit, we welcome walk-ins. Please note, during off-peak seasons (no temporary exhibition) we do not take online bookings but are still open as usual!

If you plan to pay for entry at the museum, please check our website for availability or early closure as our opening hours can sometimes vary for special events.

Group bookings of 10 or more people must be booked in advance, please contact groupbookings@gardenmuseum.org.uk for more information.

We do not issue physical tickets, you will simply need to give your name at the entry desk upon arrival. Please keep your confirmation email as reference.
