Herbival

We grow herbs in the garden, infuse them in teas, cocktails and cordials, cook with them and even bathe in them – but how often do we really stop to think about their powers?

A new one-day festival from the Garden Museum, Herbival puts herbs centre stage. We’ll be shining a light on where to find them, how to grow them and their countless, often long-forgotten uses. Visitors will be able to take part in tastings, talks, pressings, practical workshops and more, and there’ll be shopping too from a carefully curated edit of botanically-led brands.

  • Herboo

    Herboo

Starting Herboo, I wanted to make growing plants and having your own garden an easy task. Living in London, renting and moving round, I’ve had little say on the interior decoration of a place. But always found myself gravitating to making the window boxes grow or the garden a great place to be in.

Getting into gardening is relatively simple, getting it right can be a bit more of an ongoing challenge. If you go onto Pinterest and type in garden you’ll find a zillion boards of “my future garden” (Seriously, go on and see!). They’re all great, filled with beautiful plants, borders, outdoor space, lawns. But living in a city, you have different conditions, space, light, using containers and a busy mind which can be a bit overwhelming when trying to keep your new plants alive.

There is plenty out there for great plants, but when it comes to seeds, I'd often find myself having a real deep dive, trying to first find some great things to grow and then getting lost in the conflicting ways to sow, grow and enjoy the plants.

Herboo is all about making a garden, anywhere. Whatever your age, your space, whether you are growing indoors, a window box, terrace or garden beds. We select our plant varieties thinking about growing in the city and provide all the information and support you need to grow with ease.

I was lucky to be introduced to gardening by my Granny Shirley at a young age, who would always show me around hers and give me something to grow. Not all kids get this in schools or in the cities. We make kids garden + nature craft boxes for kids to get the growing, learning about nature and enjoying being outdoors.

Now we have you here, feel free to take a look around, get your hands on our products and let us know what you think.

  • Summerdown Mint

    Summerdown Mint

We're the Peppermint People. We grow, harvest and distil our signature Black Mitcham peppermint on our farm in Hampshire - and have been doing so for over 25 years. Its refined, distinctive taste inspires our wonderfully refreshing range of chocolates, teas and treats. Black Mitcham is an extraordinary peppermint prized for its pure, bright character. It’s a taste that had been all but lost to England, until we brought some back from America over three decades ago and began cultivating it ourselves. We now grow around 100 acres of Black Mitcham, transforming it into our own single-estate peppermint oil, so that we can share its unique qualities with mint-lovers across the world.

  • Three Spirit Drinks

    Three Spirit Drinks

    We’re on a mission to show the world alcohol-free doesn’t mean pleasure-free.
After years spent in libraries, labs, bars and fields, we’ve created plant-based alternatives to alcohol that celebrate what you put into a drink, rather than what you take out. Created by a mix of plant scientists, world-class bartenders, hedonists, herbalists and artists, it’s probably why they feel, taste and do everything a little differently.

  • Tincture London

    Tincture London

TINCTURE was started out of a pure passion.

As a mother of four children I searched everywhere for high performance, not toxic cleaning products that were totally safe to use around the entire family including our pets and that did not exacerbate my children's conditions such as asthma and eczema.

I was after products that were safe, effective and yet I did not want the entire house to smell of vinegar!

Before I set out developing TINCTURE I tested every product on the market. I checked their performance levels and their ingredients lists and what I found was shocking. The majority of cleaning products contain ingredients not only harmful to the environment but also to our health and wellbeing.

At TINCTURE care has gone into every single ingredient. Only used if 100% natural, sustainable and non-toxic.

  • Whitfords

    Whitfords

They formulate with sensitive skin in mind and all their ingredients are very carefully scrutinised and chosen taking into consideration their provenance, research-backed efficacy and impact upon our planet. They prioritise those that are either waste by-products of other clean companies, are obtained via fermentation processes or are lab-grown like micro-algae.

Their products are also vegan-friendly and certified cruelty-free so you don’t have to compromise on your values when it comes to your skin. As a way to give back and help reduce CO2 levels, they have partnered with One Tree Planted and they plant one tree for every product they sell.
