The Wild Escape | Who lives at the bottom of the garden?
This children's workshop is part of Art Fund's The Wild Escape project uniting museums with schools and families in a celebration of UK wildlife and creativity.
There’s a worm at the bottom of the garden… what else can we find outside?
Join us to create two-dimensional creatures out of paper inspired by the wildlife we find in our gardens. These will be displayed as part of a collaborative artwork for Earth Day on 22 April, and the display will be up until the end of May.
In this session we will be using paper, collage, paint and glue, explore and create animals for our collaborative artwork. From wildlife to pets, what animals live at the bottom of the garden? Foxes, squirrels, tortoises, cats? With reference to some of the artwork in our collection as well as to children’s book illustrators, have fun making cut out animals for our display.
