Beautiful & Useful Craft Fair Workshop | Embossed tin decorations with Clare Youngs

Create an embossed tin piece of folk art with skills practitioner Clare Youngs as part of our Beautiful and Useful Craft Fair 2024.

Join artist Clare Youngs for a festive workshop learning the fascinating craft of tin embossing. Taking inspiration from folk art designs and patterns, Clare will show you how to use an embossing tool on the foil with templates provided, or from ones that you create yourself. Participants will go home with beautiful decorations to display, hang on the tree or to turn into unique greetings cards.

    Clare Youngs

Clare Youngs trained at art school as a graphic designer and worked in the industry for some years before branching out into different directions. She has written numerous craft books for adults and children and more recently has concentrated on her illustration work in collage. She uses mark making techniques, pattern design, printing and painting methods to create her own paper samples to cut up and piece together. Her artworks, often depicting the animal kingdom are fun, colourful and full of character. Clare has a love of all things hand made and has always been inspired by traditional crafts and folk art.
