Meet the Florists

Cyrill Tronchet
Cyrill Tronchet studied the applied arts before going into floristry in Le Mans, France, where he is from, and being drawn into the world of floral design. He was a finalist in 2012 in ‘La Coupe de France des Fleuristes’ – The French Cup of Florists after which he moved to London. Tronchet’s work had a strong sculptural feel, he is inventive and resourceful in how he realises his designs. A common thread running through his work is the contract between the ephemeral floral material and the texture and shape of the structure that hold them.

Hazel Gardiner
Hazel Gardiner is a London based floral designer, educator and broadcaster. After surviving a rare cancer diagnosis in 2007, she left a career in television production to launch a successful fashion brand. In 2016, wanting to explore her instinct for gardening, she re-trained in floristry. Hazel Gardiner Design was founded shortly after, quickly establishing a unique narrative using fresh, silk and dried materials. The company provides designs for intimate events, large-scale installation, campaigns, editorials and a select number of weddings. Hazel’s unique floral storytelling has seen her profiled in LivingEtc, Daily Telegraph, House Beautiful and International Traveller. She most recently featured on BBC One’s, The One Show discussing navigating her business during the pandemic.
JamJar Flowers
JamJar Flowers
JamJar Flowers is a floral design studio based in South London, with a hand selected Edit of botanically inspired homewares and gift ideas. Working from two studios in a Dickensian yard in Kennington, JamJar create floral designs for events, weddings and creative projects. They love nothing more than to tell stories with flowers, are endlessly inspired by the changing seasons, and dedicated to selecting seasonal flowers, focusing on composition, colour and form.
Their signature style was first inspired by the Sussex garden and woods that surrounded founder Melissa Richardson’s childhood home – the simple charm of local wild flowers, picked and arranged in jam jars and displayed on the kitchen table. From these uncomplicated beginnings JamJar has diversified into something of a high wire florist culminating in the design and creation of the London Gate for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.
